| | Pie & Cake Recipes And Reviews « Thread Started on Jul 22, 2003, 12:18am » | |
As I've stated in the Suggestions & Ideas board I'm planning to add an area to the pie site for pie recipes. This can also include cakes for cakes in the face. I personally think a page like this would be really helpful for those looking to make their own pies for pies in the face.
Now, as we've seen from various threads from the old forums the differences in opinions of what pies to use and what kinds of ingredients to use vary between individuals. What I'd love to do is compile a page listing as many different recipes for pies (and possibly cakes) as I can. I'd also love to have a review section on what pies are good and what is not, what the best recipes for making your own pies (or cakes) are good and what is not. We already have some from previous threads in the old forums, but I'm sure there are many more that we haven't yet touched on.
If anyone has anything they'd like to contribute to pie and/or cake recipes and/or reviews, please post it all here in this thread and I'll file them away for a future section in the pie site.

I'd also like to add that the reason this topic wasn't posted in the Suggestions board is because the recipes topic is a good discussion for this forum.

I'm currently working on a section for recipes now. For those of you who make pies if you could write in your techniques here and then when there's enough info here for the page I'll collect them and add them to the site when I'm ready.

First I'd like to say that fruit pies (with the exception of blueberry) do not work well at all, second I'd like to say that my two favorite pies are those pietins with crusts filled with shaving cream (if you only fill the volume of the pie tin about 75% of the way the crust should stick to the pied persons face better) and the same pie except add a thick layer of chocolate syrup or pudding then the shaving cream.

Bunny costumes. If the reaction on a person (mainly the funniest reactions are with girls ) face right before you pie them is funny, and afterwords, imagine that with bunny ears and a fluffy tail. -BLUEBERRY PIES CAN BE SMUSHED ON FACES 2! |

you get a bottle of shaving cream.. and spray it into the tin... try using the entire bottle for bigger pies.

I recently experienced an unlikely but truly wonderful pie filling: Rediwhip mixed with sour creme. Doesn't taste that great, but the look and feel are unmatched.

Soft frosting mixed with whipped cream works very well!
It makes a thicker pie and has a great "after the pie" effect!
